We are thought leaders for the mission. We are hungry for souls. On the cross, Jesus cries “I thirst.” He thirsts for souls who are lost. In our brokenness, in our imperfect sinful selves, we long to help people satisfy their ultimate hunger. This is a hunger to know the God who loves them so much that He died for us. God called us to bring the Good News to all, but in the new millennium it must be done through modern methods. Our job is not only to provide the tools that facilitate engagement and follow-up, but to be the disciples and missionaries we are called to be.
Each life has a purpose. Each one of us is part of God’s plan. Each one of us has needs, and the ultimate need is love. Both to be loved and to love one another. This is not a love defined by passion and emotion, but love as an action of self-sacrifice. Love is the choice to give up our personal wants and needs to help another strive for the ultimate goals: holiness, sanctity and eternal friendship with God.
Verso l’alto is a call to strive for perfection, to pursue the “heights.” God invites us to “be perfect, as your heavenly father is perfect.” This is a lifetime of effort to see where we need healing, and to help others in need of healing. To walk with each other on our journeys with love, empathy and patience. To listen, to seek, to understand. We want to ascend with you on the journey of faith, truth and peace.
