Diocese of Gaylord

The Diocese of Gaylord spans the entire upper 3rd of Michigan’s lower peninsula in which there are 75 parishes and 18 schools.

With a staff of 21 employees the Diocese needs to ensure that their information technology solutions are efficient, reliable, secure, and can support an increasingly remote workforce.

VersAlta is applying their knowledge in the areas of information technology architecture, cloud-based infrastructure, security and support as well as the knowledge and experience in Diocesan technology solutions, systems integration, implementation, data management strategy and organizational technology consulting to meet the objectives of this assessment.

Archdiocese of Detroit

The Archdiocese of Detroit was facing hurdles of aging office buildings along with outdated technology systems. It was out of this need for modernization that VersAlta was born. We took charge of staffing top-talented technologists with a passion for the mission to bring the AOD into the 21st century.

VersAlta started as a single consultant with a passion for "strategic execution".  Through system consolidation and elimination, VersAlta cut over $45,000/month in unnecessary IT system expenses, and refocused that toward a transition to a fully cloud-based ecosystem.  As the Curia offices moved into a consolidated Chancery, VersAlta helped "reinvent" and upgrade into a modern space with unified communications, integrated wireless/security, and a web-based toolkit that delivered on the most commonly requested needs across AOD departments.

VersAlta currently staffs the Process, Data and Technology Department of the Archdiocese of Detroit, helping to ensure we manage all projects with portfolio and project management — ensuring that we are working on the highest priorities. We continue on our mission to help parishes, schools and the archdiocese move from maintenance to mission.

St. Aloysius

As an urban parish located in the heart of Detroit, St. Aloysius provides many people in need with food.

When the pandemic started, many people, especially the elderly, were shut into their homes with no access to food or their prescriptions. With an increase in demand on resources and a lack of centralized data and tracking systems, the staff and volunteers needed help.

VersAlta quickly pulled together an outreach tool so that staff could connect those needing help with people who wanted to help.

The results (April and August, 2020):

  • 2,024 Touches  between parishioner/staff/ volunteer doing outreach

  • 802 times FEMA food was provided
